About Baldo Minaudo
Very early in my life I made a very significant decision that has defined my life. Just before entering high school, I decided that I would be a leader within our global community and take responsibility for contributing to the improvement of society through whatever means available to me. Over the years, I have worked in management positions with large corporations looking for ways to make big difference in the world. I am completing a book that documents my journey, struggles and achievements as an entrepreneur-banker called “The Banker Who Saved His Soul”.
When I left the corporate banking world, used my expertise to as a consultant to business. My management consulting business naturally moved towards a venture capital focus to help entrepreneurs model, plan and grow their business. In addition to securing investment capital for the acquisition, operation and growth of companies I assist with mergers and acquisitions. I very much enjoy helping companies find new growth and in many cases turning around failing ventures.
In 1997 I joined with five other business leaders to start a new type of Chamber Of Commerce dedicated to supporting business professionals in succeeding in all areas of their lives; career, money & finance, relationships, spirituality & personal development, leisure & recreation, and health & wellness. That organization is called MetroActive Lifestyle Network (www.metroactive.org) and within a few years it grew to over 9,000 members.
I’ve been involved with university and community politics. In an attempt to bring down the barriers to world peace I have led two United Nations affiliated peace conferences that have attracted over 400 leaders each from around the world. Then I engineered and executed the Latin Canadian Leadership Forum to bring together and build relationships between traditional Canadian business leaders and Latin-Canadian business leaders.
To assist leaders in their journey to success, I have developed over 20 programs over the last few years that have collectively helped thousands of participants in different businesses and from different organizations.
Since 1999 I have been a senior strategy consultant providing guidance and assistance to organizations ranging from small businesses to large multi-nationals. Among my clients have been the Ontario Ministry of Transportation and HP. In addition, I have worked with start-ups and Venture Capital firms assisting with corporate structuring, growth, alliances, strategy and financial management. My work has involved alliances and partnering with organizations such as Vaxa Inc., HRWorks Inc., and CentreWorks.
In 2008 I joined Delta Uranium Inc. (publicly traded on the TSX as ‘DUR’ - www.deltauranium.com ) as the Vice President of Corporate Development. I am excited to bring all my of experience, skills, network and business growth mindset to helping grow this junior mineral exploration business.
Meanwhile, I continue to work on my book ( www.thebankerwhosavedhissoul.com ) in the spare time that I have.
